Ramu achieves casting coup with Raktha Charithra....

Ram Gopal Verma has achieved a casting coup of sorts for his now-in-the-making film RAKTA CHARITRA. For his biopic drama which has Vivek Oberoi in lead, he has got veteran actors like Shatrughan Sinha, Raj Babbar and Ranjeet - all under the same roof. This makes it a unique combination of these actors who have been around for decades now but have seldom appeared together in the same film. Says a source attached to the film, "RAKTA CHARITRA is turning out to be bigger and bigger with every passing month. Yes, Ramu has been quite gung ho about this project ever since he laid his hands on the basic germ of the film and its script. At that time, he was quite ecstatic about making this as a bilingual. However, as the word spread about the film and the resultant hype, more and more actors are showing interest in being a part of RAKTA CHARITRA. Knowing Ramu's penchant for fleshing out the characters of even those actors with minimal screen time, it won't be surprising to see these veteran actors giving one of their best performances in this film."
The lead stars in the film are Vivek Oberoi and Surya. With addition of Shatrughan Sinha, Raj Babbar and Ranjeet, further meat has been added to the film which is currently on floors. Also, Sudeep, who was earlier seen in PHOONK and has also played a major role in Ramu's RANN, would be seen in an important part in RAKTA CHARITRA. Quips the source, "With actors from all over the country and from different generations coming together in RAKTA CHARITRA, it is quite a possibility that this film may also see an actor from Bhojpuri cinema. Nothing can really be ruled out. You never may know, RAKTA CHARITRA may well turn out to be a magnum opus of 2010."
